Welcome to the class of Musical Theater.
Lesson 1: History of Broadway and West End
We will not go into much detail with this, just certain dates and facts. This will cover the top two professional musical theater companies.
Lesson 2: Vocal Performance
What would musical theater be if you didn't sing. You will learn certain techniques and will be given songs for you to paraphrase and learn.
Lesson 3: Acting Performance
You will be given a monologue to interpret and learn. You will learn different writers of both Musical Theater and Regular Theater.
Lesson 4: Dance
Musical Theater dance is nothing big such as ballet or tap. They are basic movements that you will learn as we go through the lesson.
Lesson 5: Auditioning
You'll learn techniques in this that will help you overcome stage fright and will help you in acting out your song. We'll go over a few techniques that should help you.
Lesson 6. Performance
We will learn the art of performance. Make-up and all. You'll learn what the stage feels like as we all perform our own musical.
