Ty-Lin was walking around the hall to get her art supplies. It wasn't art class, but she wanted to paint. As she grabbed her brush and watercolors, she shut her locker and proceeded to go to the art room. She made sure that no one was in there. Nope, no one in there. Then, she brought out a canvas, and started to paint. She was painting a landscape of mountains from a vacation she went to. Problem was, she didn't know where to start. She was thinking for a few minutes. She just couldn't think of what it looked like. She thought for a few more minutes. Then, all of a sudden, she hopped up and started painting like mad. She did this for the next half-hour, until she was happy with it.
She, after half-hour, she looked at her painting. Instead of her mountians she was thinking of, she ended up painting a desert, complete with a big, bright sun, and a camel. It wasn't exactly great, but she felt it was okay. She was just about to leave, when someone came in. She wanted to rush off, but she didn't.

What an excellent first day. He hadn't died or collapsed or gotten lost once. He was making his way back to his dorm, wondering whether it would be worth it to risk going to eat that night, when he decided to look for somewhere, just anywhere, he could be alone, let his guard down, and not have to glance behind himself every single twenty seconds of the waking hour. It would be difficult, but at least it would give him something to do, and it would keep him as far away from human contact as possible....
Alexander walked down the hall, glancing into classes, looking for an unlocked, empty, room. Yeah, it wasn't often you found one of those around. The classrooms were always occupied by someone or another: kids staying late to have somewhere to group up and talk, teachers staying behind to look through papers or work. But, at last, he thought had had found one.
He darted into the assumed empty classroom and plaster his back agaisnt the wall. Grinning to himself at his success. And that is when he noticed a momentarily random upperclassmen-looking girl looking at him. Oh great. Well this would be hard to explain wouldn't it....
....But perhaps if he were to rush out of the room immediately without a word or a second glance... no, too rude. Even if he was a nervous wreck of a freshman, he was still a gentlemen, which in somecases made the whole lot worse.
And breath.
"Um, sorry, I can just..." he stuttered, ready to turn on his heel, ducking his head toward the door, "leave."

Ty-Lin huffed. She was just getting out, and ended up going into this person. Great. "Out of my w- huh?" This guy was actually pretty nice. "Nah, it's okay. You can stay here, if you want. Just don't bother me." she said. She was surprised her shyness didn't overcome her. She overcame it. And, again, he was actually cool. "Why are you here anyways? You don't take art class, right?" Ty-Lin asked, with curiosity, and waiting for a reply.

Good question. And now he just had to calmly, like a normal human being, lift up his head and answer it. But really, he hadn't expected her to say anything.
He turned his head back around and looked at her properly. "No, I don't. Just came in here as an excuse not to go back to my dorm, is all."
He said, shrugging. "Really, I can go, not that I'd bug you if i stayed," he actually 'said with a laugh' which was new, "but I don't want to barge in if your busy."
Well, it was a change in his plans, but he really could find somewhere else. Even if this whole calm polite conversation thing was going better than it usually did.
